'The Deposition' was drawn from observation over several sittings from a still life of puppets with ladders.
This drawing was inspired by Jacopo Sansovino's 'Deposition', which he created in 1508 -1510. Sansovino's work can be seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
